Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) False Color Composite: This image displays the Western Lakes Region of the Nebraska Sandhills. The Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge can be seen near the bottom-middle portion of the image (Hint: look for the lake that is shaped like a seahorse). The white areas stretching across the image, from the southwest to the northeast, represent clouds. The image was acquired September 7, 1997.
