Nebraska...Our Towns

The town-of-many-names: When the post office moved from El Dorado to the new depot it was given the name "Richland." The railroad wanted the station named "Benton" and the people called the town "Spitley" for the man who owned the land. The post office won out. Pictured is the Richland State Bank. n.d.
